The cast aluminum enclosure is optimized using FEM simulation to ensure superior performance while maximizing the subwoofer output. The 8-inch woofer’s massive magnet provides control during the highest cone excursions.
The DIECI DBA 201F includes a 440-Watt He-Li amplifier with a full set of controls to fine-tune in-car performance. The built-in 24 dB/Octave low-pass crossover allows the user to perfectly match the DBA 201 to the vehicle’s speaker system. Adjustable bass boost (0-6 dB @ 45Hz) allows correction for OEM sound equalization. The phase inverter (0-180°) helps to optimize alignment between the DBA 201F and the speaker system - regardless of the subwoofer’s position in the car. The subsonic filter (15 Hz @ 24 dB/Oct) protects the cone from over-excursion and the amplifier from overheating. An HRC 01 remote-level control is included. The input sensitivity control maximizes overall system output while preventing clipping. For added convenience, the built-in audio sense circuit allows the DBA 201F to turn on and timeout to standby mode automatically. The audio sense can be turned off when a remote turn-on wire is available.
