SOUTHFIELD, MICH., March 22, 2021 (MEDIAWIRE) – The Vision Zero Automotive Network today announced an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Certification Program in partnership with and powered by the Mobile Electronics Certified Professional (MECP) program. This new program has been developed to provide specialized product knowledge and installation training to automotive accessories and mobile electronics retailers/installers specific to aftermarket ADAS products and solutions such as rear visibility systems, blind spot detection products, parking guidance, voice enabled services and more. In addition to improving and enhancing the awareness of aftermarket ADAS overall, the goal of the program is to provide confidence and assurance to consumers interested in ADAS solutions that Vision Zero Automotive Network ADAS Certified retailers/installers possess the knowledge and professionalism to assist in the selection and installation of compatible products that seamlessly integrate with the driver’s vehicle.

The existing Vision Zero Automotive Network dealer locator (https://vzan.org/dealer-locator/), a tool that assists consumers to search for, identify and contact Vision Zero Automotive Network members based on geographic location, will be updated to include a certification badge upon successful completion of the ADAS Certification Program coursework and testing.
