Auburn Hills, Mich. (Feb. 3, 2023) – Mike Anderson, Head of the Alpine Brand Business Unit (aftermarket division) at Alps Alpine North America, Inc., announced his retirement during an all-staff meeting on Thursday, February 2 at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Anderson celebrates 33 years at Alps Alpine in 2023.

“Alps Alpine congratulates Mike on his long and illustrious career,” said Cameron Hosner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Alps Alpine North America, Inc. “We thank him for his dedication and commitment to excellence that propelled the Alpine Brand forward within North America. He leaves behind a strong organization that will transition and assume leadership under his guidance later this year. We remain excited for the future of the Alpine Brand Business.”
Kunihiko Sato, Director of Business Planning at Alps Alpine North America, Inc., will succeed Anderson as the Head of the Alpine Brand Business Unit effective October 1, 2023, where Anderson will take on an advisory role. In his 24 years of service at the company, Sato led various business areas in the aftermarket division, including marketing, operations, and business planning, where he contributed to sales and marketing growth for the “Alpine” brand.
“For over 20 years, I have worked closely alongside Mike and have benefitted from his strong leadership, mentorship, and friendship,” said Sato. “His presence around the Alpine Brand Business Unit will be missed, but I look forward to his continued support as an advisor.”

Mike Anderson joined “Alpine” in 1990 as the Sales Manager for the U.S. northeast region. In the years that followed, Anderson would work in various business areas in the company, including a tour in the OEM division, where he contributed to sales and marketing growth for Alpine-branded products. In 2017, Anderson was chosen to lead the Brand Business Unit at “Alpine,” where he oversaw all sales, marketing, and product planning activity for the aftermarket division as the Executive Director and still holds the position to date.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Alpine and I am proud to be part of this great industry,” said Anderson. “I would like to thank all my colleagues at Alpine for their support over the years. I also would like to thank our sales organization for their tremendous efforts, my industry friends for their advice and mentorship, and especially our dealers. Without your support, Alpine would not be here today. I will be a very interested industry observer on the sidelines as I spend time with family and pursue my hobbies in retirement.”

Anderson is regarded as a leader in the mobile electronics industry and his contributions over the years will continue to inspire future generations of audio enthusiasts.
