Audiovox Pursuitrak GPS Vehicle Tracking System
Managers and parents alike always worry about where their employees and
teens are driving their vehicles. Take some worry off their brows and give your
customers protection with Pursuitrak, which gives users vehicle security and
patented GPS technology. If a vehicle is moved without the owner’s
authorization, the system immediately notifies them via phone at work, home
and mobile, and sends out e-mails. To help business owners monitor new drivers
and save gas, while being able to watch mileage use closely, a Geo Fence feature
is also onboard. It lets users set different-sized electronic boundaries to get
notification when the vehicle enters or leaves that specific area, says the
company. Other universal Pursuitrak tools include vehicle locator with precision mapping, door lock and unlock and an enabled remote starter via
touch-tone phone or Internet connection. If the vehicle is stolen and not recovered within 24 hours after being reported to law enforcement, the
owner will be reimbursed up to $1,000 toward the cost of the unit with Pursuitrak’s theft guarantee, says the company.

Neutral Position

Directed 689M Neutral Safety Switch
No more fear of dented gates or bashed-in garage doors for your
manual transmission customers. Directed’s 689M neutral safety switch
allows hybrid systems and manual transmission vehicles to function
without false starts, says the company, though the user must make sure
to leave the vehicle in neutral gear to start it remotely on the return trip.
The 689M module monitors prolonged open doors and pressed brake
pedals between vehicle shutdown and remote start. It disables the unit
when the engine is not running to avoid faulty gear changes during the
check-up for these steps. It also comes with LED output for system
ready status indicator, harnesses and installation guide.

Night Rover

Nav-TV NV Vogue Thermal Night Vision System
Now your Range Rover-driving customers can see better at night with Nav-TV’s NV Vogue, a thermal
night vision system with FLIR’s PathFindIR camera that allows drivers to see four-times farther than they
could see with headlights in total darkness, according to the company. Instead of relying on an IR
illuminator, the camera sees the temperature differences ahead, like how the creature in the film
“Predator” saw warm objects brighter and cooler objects darker. NV Vogue’s system displays
information on the vehicle’s factory eight-inch display, and comes with zoom controls for faster driving
speeds and a changeable color scheme to illuminate darker areas. The system is also available for other
vehicles for $4,150, but the Range Rover kit fully integrates and maintains factory controls, says the
company.

AT Autosport MBZ-1 Security Upgrade
Mercedes-Benz owners have “finger fatigue”: one remote control press locks the
doors, another closes the top, etc. But they’ll call you “doc” after you deliver the
remedy. AT Autosport’s MBZ-1 gives owners of any 2000-up Benz with an infrared
key the ability to press one button to completely close and secure the vehicle. It
also turns the factory keyless system into full security, and adds convenience
features like headlight control and non-line-of-sight range of up to 150 feet, says
the company.

Dynamic Duo
me-mag.com/info/19415
Auto Page RS-1000 Remote Start
“Dynamic Duo” is usually associated with comic book and cartoon characters, but it has recently expanded its meaning for consumers because they are now able to take a pocket-sized super-pair along with them, while on the go. Auto Page has released five new remote starts in anticipation of the cooler seasons just around the corner. The models incorporate more programmable outputs and a new timing sequence for the starter and ignition that, according to the company, improves compatibility with 2007 vehicles and makes installation easier. The RS-1000 is a two-way FM/FM transceiver with an OLED (organic light emitting diode) display that incorporates full-color motion graphics. The RS-1000 also features four-car operation with personalized graphics, jog shuttle for programming and a mini-USB 2.0 port for battery charging and downloading.

Boston G108 Subwoofer
The little people in the Wizard of Oz movie were depicted as a tight-knit community, with lollipop families and a town mayor to boot. Well, Boston’s G108 is part of a small family too—the G’s. The new slim eight-inch subwoofer joins the 10- and 12-inch in the line, and is offered in both single and dual four-ohm models. The thin chassis design allows the G108 to fit in tight spaces, requiring 4.25 inches of mounting depth. Also ideal for small enclosures, sealed-box setups only call for 0.3 cubic feet, while ported boxes need 0.8 cubic feet. The subwoofer comes with eight-gauge input terminals, SureSet impedance matching, and features the company’s own RadialVent cooling design.

StreetEagle AAMP of America GPS Vehicle Tracking Device
George Orwell’s novel, 1984, was a futuristic look at a paranoid society which turned humans into unhopeful machines. AAMP of America is taking GPS to new, healthier monitoring heights with StreetEagle, a vehicle tracking system that offers 24/7 real-time monitoring and protection. Designed for parents who anxiously loan out the keys and businesses managing cumbersome fleets, the StreetEagle provides information on vehicle location and speed, as well as tracking what routes the vehicle has taken and how long it was parked somewhere. The system also offers notification when alarms have been triggered and offers remote door locking and ignition immobilization. The system, which includes a tracking unit, power cable and GPS antenna, comes with three levels of service—basic, standard and advanced.
