PAC BLU-GM11 Bluetooth Interface Module

PAC introduced the BLU-GM11, an interface module that allows installation technicians to connect (and control) an aftermarket Bluetooth kit to the 11-bit GM LAN systems in select 2006-2010 Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn models. Product features on the new BLU-GM11 include: plug-and-play installation, according to the company; compatibility with vehicles featuring OnStar; capable of controlling the EGO TALK through factory steering wheel controls; compatible with amplified or non amplified audio systems; automatically mutes factory radio when making/receiving a call and can play hands-free audio through both front speakers.

The new Audi 3GMMI from NAV-TV introduces its multi-functional M.O.S.T (media oriented systems transport) fiber optic integration module for select 2009-and-up Audi vehicles equipped with the factory 3GMMI DVD A/V based infotainment system. The 3GMMI products are available in three different models, the Audi 3G-VIM, Audi 3G-AV and Audi 3G-CAM, and are capable of video in motion, video in motion and A/V input, as well as video in motion, A/V input and rear view camera programming. Video in motion on all three products allows the user to enter navigation destination information, utilize factory Bluetooth functions and view a DVD video while in motion. Pioneer A/V Receivers

Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. introduces five new in-dash multimedia receivers. The “AVH” series of multi-media receivers consist of three double-DIN units, the AVH-P3200DVD, AVH-P3200BT and AVH-P4200DVD, and two single-DIN models, AVH-P5200DVD and AVH-P5200BT. These models offer 5.8- to 7-inch touchscreen displays and include a variety of features such as touch slide user interface, Apple iPod/iPhone control, USB connectivity, SD card playback, Bluetooth and navigation upgradeability. The AVH series receivers provide direct access and iPod/iPhone specific features, including: album art display; alphabetical speed search; passenger control for iPod; link play,-quick access to all iPod/iPhone content linked to the currently playing artist; three-way link play, which allows uses to access all iPod/iPhone content linked by album and genre in addition to artist. All five AVH series receivers are Bluetooth hands-free communication capable (fully built-in on the AVH-P3200BT and AVH-P5200BT, and available on the AVH-P3200DVD, AVH-P4200DVD and AVH-P5200DVD with the addition of an optional Pioneer Bluetooth receiver). Optional tuners are available to add HD Radio reception and XM or SIRIUS satellite radio services activation/subscription required). Audio output for each player features Pioneer’s MOSFET50 50 Watts X 4 amplification, 4-Volt pre-amp outputs, High-Pass/Low-Pass crossovers for subwoofer integration, patented advanced sound retriever (ASR), and auto equalizer for automatic tailoring of the sound to each vehicle (CD-MC20 microphone required). In addition, each AVH series receiver features Pioneer’s sonic center control, which is designed to create a more focused sound stage with adjustments of frequency phase and acoustic characteristics by up to 15 steps. The 2010 Audio/Video systems will be available in March 2010 ranging in suggested retail prices from $450 to $700.

Xstatic LLC Batcap 4000 Battery

Xstatic LLC introduces its Batcap model 4000. The company said this battery has been in development for two years, and now offers twice the energy of its model 2000 Batcap battery. Designed for a range of applications, from industrial to automotive and car audio use, this 12-volt battery offers 100 amp hours capacity, internal resistance of 2M Ohm and more than 2,000 amps of useable energy. It weighs just shy of 80 lbs and retails for $499. The approximate dimensions are 6 3/4 inches wide x 8 5/8 inches high x 13 inches long.
